Woman appears in court accused of murdering Donegal grandmother

A woman has appeared in court accused of violently murdering Donegal native Ann Coll (pictured) in Scotland just days before Christmas.

Clare Kilduff, 37 of East Kilbride, made no plea during a private hearing at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.

According to local news reports, court papers say Kilduff allegedly struck Ms Coll on the head a number of times with an unknown object and repeatedly stabbed her on the neck and body.

The accused will appear again in court within the next eight days.

Ms Coll, 61, a native of Arduns, Gweedore was found seriously injured in her flat in the Newfield Place in Rutherglen, South Lanarkshire at around 12.45am on December 22nd 2023. She was pronounced dead a short time later.
